14 May – 25 October 2026 The Xawery Dunikowski Museum of Sculpture in Królikarnia
January's meeting is devoted to the patron of the Museum, Xawery Dunikowski. Visitors will have a chance to see the sculpture moulds of “Pregnant Women”, a work brutally assaulted with a walking stick by an unrefined Warsaw critic; find out why the artist was sentenced to imprisonment in a fortress, why the Communist patrons did not like the portraits of Stalin, and why the professor criticised Michelangelo. The meeting offers an insight into Dunikowski's stormy life and creative adventures as well as their impact on the artist's sculptures.
Meeting: 10th January, noon, meeting in front of the Królikarnia Palace.
Admission with a museum ticket. The tour ends in the area of Krakowskie Przedmieście. Please have your public transport tickets with you.
