The Whisper of Those Things Isn't True
A newly commissioned work by
Katarzyna Krakowiak
starts with a performative action. The artist cuts out a diamond sketch on the glass of twenty two windows of the Królikarnia Palace while walking around the exhibition rooms. The sound follows her movement outside of the building surrounding its architectural structure. The piece originates from the idea that architecture acoustically divides the world into the outer and inner space, while transparency of the glass, makes it visually all connected in one: interior of the building with park, park with the interior. The audience will have a unique chance to witness how the sound helps to discern the seclusion of these two worlds.
Opening hours of the Museum during Warsaw Gallery Weekend will be extended:
Friday, 22 September until 9 p.m.
Saturday – Sunday, 22–23 September until 7 p.m.
Special thanks to:
Ralf Meinz – sound design
Bogdan Zgódka – jeweler
Craftman - sound production
