We are proud to announce that the catalogue “Destination Paris. Polish Women Artists from Bourdelle’s Studio” accompanying the exhibition presented at the Xawery Dunikowski Museum of Sculpture in Królikarnia from 9 May to 26 October 2025 has been awarded in this year’s Good Design competition in the “Visual identity systems / Publications” category.
This inventively designed and carefully produced album includes essays on the history of the relationship between women artists from Poland and their master, as well as the circumstances in which Bourdelle’s monument to Adam Mickiewicz in Paris was created. The catalogue section features photographs of the works shown in the Królikarnia exhibition and unique period photographs, presented in this way for the first time.
Good Design is Poland’s oldest design competition, organised by the Institute of Industrial Design. The statuette was received by Małgorzata Borkowska, Deputy Director of the NMW for Communication and Education, and Ewa Ziembińska, curator at the Museum of Sculpture in Królikarnia and of the exhibition Destination Paris. Polish Women Sculptors from Bourdelle’s Studio.
The graphic design is by Kamila Schinwelska and Marcin Gwiazdowski of Studio Elipsy.
The publication is available from the NMW Bookshop.
Our warmest congratulations!
