14 May – 25 October 2026 The Xawery Dunikowski Museum of Sculpture in Królikarnia
On the second day of spring according to the calendar, when the traditional spring celebrations have already left our traditional Marzanna effigies drowned in the water, the family workshop at the Królikarnia offers an opportunity to create your own effigies of scraps of fabric and different kinds of shiny knick-knacks, figures that will portray 18th century ladies. The session has been devised by the Civilian Section of the “Arsenał” Society, a historical group that has already collaborated with Królikarnia by staging the Kościuszko Uprising (The Night of the Museums 2014) or the grand “Arsenał” Ball (during this year’s carnival season). This time, the group brings the times when the Królikarnia was built closer to the youngest audiences of the Museum of Sculpture. We will discover the fashion and manners of the end of the 18th century. Tapping into their newly acquired knowledge concerning the fashion trends of the era, the participants will then design their own attires for a genuine 18th century lady.
admission with a family ticket: 15 zlotys (2–5 visitors)
