14 May – 25 October 2026 The Xawery Dunikowski Museum of Sculpture in Królikarnia
This session of family workshops at the Królikarnia Palace offers an opportunity to discover the details of the archaeological profession. Some objects can survive underground for thousands of years, and then, once unearthed, they help us imagine life in the long bygone epochs.
The exhibition “The Estate” tells the story of old-time palaces through the prism of fragments of marble sculptures unearthed in the Warmia and Masuria regions. The workshop concentrates on other materials that can bear witness to history and their potential to offer time measurements. The holdings include: coins, ceramic vessels, and animal bones, among other objects. And since there is more to archaeology than mere theoretical considerations, our workshop offers first-hand experience in working on archaeological sites to unearth history layer after layer.
Workshop for families with children from 5 to 12 years old.
